One of the primary features of the Funder Software is managing a case’s status and tracking. This provides accessibility to the most recent case history and updates.
To provide a case status, select the case from the Portfolio first. Under the Details tab, select the New Case Update button.
Clicking this will open a pop-up window with different sections. The first two sections will ask the user which case status is currently applicable to the case as well as the medical treatment status. There are ten (10) different case statuses available and two (2) medical treatment statuses available to be used.
Select the closest status from the list for both sections. There are other sections that users can edit as well and attach to the case - Attorney Status, Plaintiff Status, and Tracking Attributes.
Note that once a user edits this section, the Case Tracking Note field is required to be filled out as well. The update won’t be saved if this field is left blank.
The Case Tracking Update field, on the other hand, remains optional. This field is filled out if there’s a case contact assigned to the case. On the date set in this field, an email is sent out to that case contact requesting for them to provide a case status update for the particular case. Click the Create button to save the update.
For each case status update made, an entry in the Case Feed is created. This entry is complete with a timestamp and the name of the user who made the update.
The case log entry for a case status update reflects the new status (case and medical) and the case tracking note attached to the update.
