If a user wants to log a payment, they need to open the specific case first and click the Case Actions button and choose Log Payment.
A pop-up window will open. All fields with an asterisk are required.
Through this window, the user can also choose if the lien will stay open after logging the payment or not. Clicking the Recalculate checkbox will also help automatically recalculate the remaining lien balance if the date of payment is different from what's specified for the lien.
The return can also be applied to specific open liens only or equally divided to all open liens a case may have.
Click Save to log the payment.
