Understanding Plaintiff Funder's Lien Details

If a funding application is approved, users have the ability to review and edit information about the lien on the case’s page in Justice Bolt. Keeping track of funding details in a case’s Liens tab on Justice Bolt helps organize, streamline, and template the information needed to make and track decisions about existing liens.

What are the steps to use it?

1. Open the case to see the lien information.
2. Click the Liens tab and see all the open (and closed) liens for the plaintiff.
   
   
3. The payoff period is also displayed in this section. Users can see the total principal amount in a case, the expected return amount, and the actual returned amount.
4. Click the View link with a double arrow under the Open Liens to see a detailed tab about the lien.
   
5. After clicking the View link, all details about the contract will be displayed. The Lien Status and Date Closed can be set under the Lien Info section. Lien Documents can be uploaded as well in this section. Users can view, download, or revise the funding contract in the Contract Details section. Remember, when revising a contract, it takes effect immediately. 
   
   

A Delete button is also available here. Take note that deleting a lien is final and isn't recoverable. 

Notes:

1. All closed liens for the case can be found beneath the payoff table under the Liens tab.
2. Deleting liens is only available for Executive-level access.
