If you’ve requested an update or any changes to your contract template or its rate structure, follow these steps to refresh the lien and update them to the newest version of the contract template.
- Log in to your software and find the case profile
- In the case profile, go to the Liens tab and click View to open the lien information window
- Click Revise Contract
- Open the contract template dropdown, pick a different template (if available), but don’t save. Then, switch back to the original template. Check out the GIF below to see this in action!
- If you only have one template in your software, just re-open the dropdown and re-select the template.
- Click Save to implement the update on the lien.
Important note: When refreshing liens and updating contract templates in the Funder Software, please be aware that selecting a different template and returning to your original template resets the rate structure to its default values. It does not automatically preserve custom or previously adjusted rates. You must manually verify and reapply the correct percentage rates for each bucket every time the template is switched or refreshed. This process requires careful attention and may take additional time to ensure accuracy.
Always double-check your applied rates before saving the lien contract to prevent potential inaccuracies or unintended changes.
