At Justice Bolt, we take the security of your data seriously. That's why we are implementing 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) – an extra layer of protection for your account. MFA adds a simple yet powerful step to your login process to bolster the security of your data.
There are two ways that an organization can configure 2FA: at an Organization level or by Individual Users.
Organization-Wide Implementation: An executive user can decide to require 2FA for all users in the organization. This approach enhances security uniformly across the board and would immediately apply for any new users added.. In order to turn on the tool for all organization users, please have an executive user email support@justicebolt.com and our team will make the needed configuration. Users will then be prompted to take the steps outlined below.
Individual User Setup: Alternatively, if an organization prefers not to mandate 2FA company-wide, an executive from an organization can email a list of users to support@justicebolt.com and we can require those individuals to require 2FA when logging in.
Individual users can also still opt to turn on 2FA for their individual account using the steps outlined below.
Individual User Setup
- Simply login to your Justice Bolt account. Once logged in, access your account by clicking My Account under the gear icon on the top-right hand of the page.
- Click 'Manage 2FA' button and click 'Turn On'. We've included instructions for popular apps like 1Password, Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator, so pick the one you like best!
- Once the authenticator is set up, you’ll be asked to put in the one-time verification code provided. After that, you should be seeing the following screen as an indicator that you’ve successfully set up the MFA for your account. You’ll also see a set of OTP codes which you can download or copy so that you can use them should you ever lose access to your authenticator app.
- After clicking Continue, you’ll be asked to choose which software to access (if you have access to both Law Firm Portal and Funder Software). Otherwise, you’ll be directed to the software you have access to directly.
You can manage your MFA by navigating to the My Accounts settings and click Manage 2FA button. In this page, you will have the option to disable MFA by clicking on the "Turn Off” button. If you choose to disable MFA, please note that the old recovery codes will no longer be valid. Alternatively, you can generate new recovery codes, ensuring that you have a backup plan in case of any unforeseen circumstances.
By enabling MFA and keeping your recovery codes secure, you're taking a proactive step towards safeguarding your Justice Bolt account. Our Customer Support team is always available if you have any questions about the process. Just send us an email at support@justicebolt.com.
